MHP Hospice House

Most hospice care is given in the home; however, there are times when the home is no longer appropriate for a variety of reasons. A Hospice House is a very special, mission-oriented place where local inpatient skilled nursing services are offered. This residential place provides a home away from home for a patient’s last days. It is highly personalized and touches people in ways that few other services do.
Currently, our community’s hospice patients cannot receive residential hospice services without traveling out of town. Financial projections indicate that the MHP Hospice House should break even, or nearly so, if the building can be built with contributing funds. In the end, the need is too great to delay such an important project.
