In 1889, the Oskaloosa Women's Club started fundraising for a hospital. Their initial efforts raised $1.60. By 1906, a campaign for a hospital was successful with $5,000 accumulated by the Women's Club and $10,000 collected by additional solicitors. The site for the hospital was purchased and construction began. In 1907, the Oskaloosa Hospital was open for patient care.
In 1965, a large edition was added on to the original hospital. In 2000, a seven year renovation was completed, and the Mahaska Health Partnership name was born. Mahaska Health Partnership includes the following entities:
Community Health
Keokuk County Hospice
Mahaska Hospice
Mahaska Hospital
