Careers: Insurance, Pre-Tax Deductions and Savings Plans

Health/Dental Insurance:

Full-time Employee

Hospital pays majority of premium for single coverage.

Hospital pays single rate & employee pays remainder for family 

coverage.

Part-time Employee

Employee pays the entire premium.

Additional Information

Health Insurance cost includes the dental cost (coverage) for 

employees. Dental Insurance is available if health insurance is not desired. All health/dental insurance premiums are deducted on a pre-tax basis.

IPERS:

3.7% is deducted from the employees paycheck with an additional 5.75% paid in to IPERS by MHP.

Life Insurance:

Full-time employees receive $10,000 Life and $10,000 Accidental Death &

Dismemberment. There is no premium cost to the employee.

Short Term Disability & Long Term Disability:

Full-time employees are eligible for disability coverage. FICA is the only deduction taken. There is no premium cost to the employee.

Supplemental Insurance Plan – Colonial:

Colonial suplemental insurance is also available to all eligible employees of MHP. Colonial is a pre-tax insurance plan option that is fully funded by the employee.

Malpractice Insurance:

MHP provides personal insurance against malpractice while performing assigned work on or off MHP premises. It is recommended, however, that licensed personnel also continue their own individual insurance in addition to this.

Flexible Spending Accounts:

This benefit plan allows employees to set money aside for qualified non-reimbursable medical or dependent care expenses through pre-tax salary reduction in separate accounts.

457 Deferred Compensation Plan:

An additional savings plan is also available for your retirement planning. Fully funded by the employee. A wide range of investment options are available to allow you to take advantage of changing market conditions.
