Employees and those residing in their home have access to free, confidential, professional services to help assist you with personal situations or problems.
The Employee Club plans and conducts MHP employee activities (Picnics, Easter Egg Hunt, Holiday Party) and also sends various gifts, flowers, cards, or money at designated times to employees who are employee club members.
An employee (FT or PT), who refers a job candidate and the candidate is hired by MHP, will receive a $100 referral bonus after the referred employee has successfully completed 90-days of service. (See Employee Referral Program in Human Resources for specific qualifying details)
$12.00 meal ticket to the Mahaska Hospital cafeteria costs MHP employees $5.00.
Employees may also purchase MHP apparel through the Human Resources department.
Some travel may be compensated for wages and mileage.
We have an on-site wellness room for MHP employees to use, which is located on the fourth floor of MHP. Employees may utilize the Wellness Room, free of charge, by filling out a membership form in Human Resources. We promote employee wellness! We also offer on-going Wellness Programs at MHP where you may choose to participate as an individual or participate on a team! Weight Watchers program is also available.
