Respiratory Care
The Respiratory Care Department is located on the first floor of Mahaska Hospital at 1229 C Avenue East, Oskaloosa. The department provides a variety of services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. These services include the following:
- Assistance with home oxygen equipment
- Pulmonary function testing
- Pulmonary rehabilitation
- Sleep diagnostic program
- Smoking cessation
The American Association for Respiratory Care has recognized the Mahaska Hospital Respiratory Therapy team as a Quality Respiratory Care department. Only ten percent of the hospitals in the United States have received this award.
