Speech and Language Pathology: Adult Services
MHP offers the following adult speech and language pathology services:
- Assessment and treatment of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive communication impairments caused by stroke, head injury, Parkinson's disease, dementia, and other health related issues
- Expressive and receptive language deficits
- Cognitive linguistic and communicative deficits including:
- Memory
- Attention
- Problem solving
- Reasoning
- Oropharyngeal dysphagia (swallowing)
- Modified barium swallow studies
- Voice disorders
- Speaking valves for tracheostomies
- Acquired apraxia
- Dysarthria
